Hey there, Marbleheaders!
Welcome to our new blog – your Abbot Public Library in cyberspace!
We miss you – seeing you, talking with you, helping you!
So, we’ve created the Abbot Public Library Blog as a place for us to connect with you, and for you to connect with us, even though our “brick and mortar” library is closed.
On the blog, we’ll help you discover all the many collections and other resources available to you remotely, wherever you are and whenever you have the impulse.
We’ll be highlighting our extensive electronic collections — eBooks, audiobooks, films, music, magazines, and more — for adults, teens, and children. We’re actively expanding all of these collections – continually adding both new items and new services.
To help you choose what to read, listen to, or watch, we’ll regularly offer “staff picks,” for you to consider. We hope you will enjoy these recommendations!
Blog posts also will prompt you to explore the rich and varied group of digital resources you can access through the Library.
A quick note: you will need to be a Marblehead resident and have an Abbot Public Library card to use our e-collections and other online resources. No worries, if you don’t currently have a card. You can register remotely by following the instructions in the “FAQs” section of the blog.
We also will use the blog to post links to Web content that may be of interest to you – for information, entertainment, or both. Some surprises, too – stay tuned!
Please visit the new Abbot Public Library Blog often. We’re eager to stay in touch, despite social distancing!
